It was a moment of celebration and heartfelt appreciation as the Management and Staff of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) honoured Ms. Pauline Ehusani, Director of Investigation and Enforcement, on her retirement after three decades of dedicated service to the Commission and the Nation.

Ms. Ehusani joined the NBC on 26th August 1996 as a vibrant and enthusiastic young professional, bringing with her a passion for public service and experience from the print media. Over the years, her commitment, diligence and professionalism saw her rise through the ranks, leaving a lasting impact on the Commission and the broadcasting industry.

Her distinguished career saw her serve as Zonal Director, Ibadan, from 2014 to 2017, and Zonal Director, Abuja, from 2019 to 2023, before her appointment as Director of Investigation and Enforcement in February 2025. Throughout her years of service, she played a significant role in promoting regulatory compliance and upholding broadcasting standards across the country.

Ms. Ehusani attributes much of her professional growth to the visionary leaders who laid the foundation of the Commission, particularly the pioneer Director-General, Dr. Tom Adaba, whose emphasis on discipline and excellence shaped generations of NBC staff. She also acknowledged the guidance and mentorship of senior colleagues who contributed to her development and the growth of the Commission.

Reflecting on her journey, Ms. Ehusani launched a book titled “Thirty Years, Thirty Lessons”, where she narrated her wide experience, as a civil servant for 30 years, sharing both her wins and challenges as she climbed the civil service ladder. The book also contains mentorship nuggets and serves as an encouragement to younger officers and those still in service to remain focused, disciplined and committed to their duties.

The launch ceremony was graced by distinguished personalities from the broadcasting industry. The Chairman of the Broadcasting Organisations of Nigeria (BON), Senior High Chief Tony Akiotu, alongside Heads of Stations and other industry well-wishers, attended the event; a clear reflection of Ms. Ehusani’s strong professional relationships and the lasting impact she made on colleagues and the broadcasting community at large.

The Director General, the Management and Staff of the National Broadcasting Commission congratulate Ms. Pauline Ehusani on her retirement and thank her for her years of dedicated service, professionalism and invaluable contributions to the Commission. We wish her good health, fulfilment and continued success in the next chapter of her life.
