Lepa Radić was a 17-year-old Bosnian teenager who was executed for shooting Nazis during World War II.
In her final moments, they offered to spare her life in exchange for the names of her accomplices. She refused, saying:
“I am not a traitor to my people. Those you ask about will come forward when they have succeeded in wiping out all the evildoers, down to the last one.”
This girl, only 17 years old, was condemned to death.
I want it to be known — this girl deserves to be remembered, so without filters, to show that she was afraid of death, yes, but she was so brave that she preferred to be hanged rather than betray her fellow countrymen.
