Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei that was killed by the US and Israel booms had been urged several times to relocate from his office to a safer location amid rising tensions, but he declined.
“Ayatollah Khamenei was in his office and several times the security asked him to move from his office to another city, and he refused,” said the representative, Dr. Abdul Majeed Hakeem Ilahi
The country’s top security officials had expressed concerns for his safety and proposed various protective measures, including relocation and the provision of a fortified shelter. He refused their proposals. He was steadfast in his beliefs and was unwilling to abandon his people despite repeated security warnings. He reportedly insisted that he would never seek personal safety while ordinary Iranians remained exposed.
He reported Ayatollah Khamenei’s response to his security team when asked to move:
“He said if you could move 90 million Iranians to another city, I will move after that.”
“They told him, that they can move him to a basement that will be safe for him, but he told them that if they could provide and build a safe basement for all Iranians, then he will move after everyone is moved there.”
“He choose to remain in his office, in his house, and in the morning, the aircraft of the Zionist regime and America attacked his office. He, his wife, his daughter-in-law, and some of his nephews were killed with him.”
