“Sen. Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan Emerges The Plenary Person of The Year, 2025” with a rider, “She modelled Legislative Excellence, Courage, and Advocacy”
In a year replete with drama, suspensions, triumphs, and unbreakable resilience, Senator Natasha – the fearless voice from Kogi Central – has been recognized for standing tall when many would have crumbled.

The dogged Senator became Nigeria’s most Googled person and one of the most searched political figures
Delivered unprecedented constituency projects. These include sinking of boreholes in various communities, building and renovation of schools, construction of markets, and empowerment programmes across Kogi Central Senatorial District.
He has sponsored groundbreaking bills and fearlessly advocated for women, youth, good governance, and the wellbeing of the masses.
Senator Natasha has showed the world that one woman with courage can shake the entire system!
The Plenary didn’t just pick her randomly. They honoured her for legislative excellence (top-notch bills and oversight), courage (standing alone against power when needed), and advocacy (speaking truth no matter the cost).
This is the same woman who made history as Kogi’s first female senator. She survived political battles, and kept serving her people even during suspension.
