Achuba, in his Easter message to Christians through a statement he personally signed, described Easter as an event of humanity and a profound reminder of the triumph of hope over despair and light over darkness, as exemplified by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The former Deputy Governor urged Christians to reflect on the significance of the season by promoting peace, unity, and compassion in any where they find themselves.
.
He noted that the resurrection of Christ underscored the enduring values of sacrifice, redemption, and renewal, calling on Christians to always emulate the deeds of Jesus Christ in their daily lives.
The former Deputy Governor stressed that, given its symbolism as a period of spiritual reinvigoration, Easter is a call to recommit to higher ideals, enjoining Christian faithful to keep the light of Christ on till eternity.
He also urged Nigerians to reflect deeply on the solemn journey of Lent, and to ensure that the virtues of self-denial and sacrifice remain a constant guide in their daily lives beyond the Easter celebration.
Achuba further called on Christians in Kogi state to celebrate the Easter with all Kogites and show love to the less privileged in the state and beyond.
He also advised them to be security conscious and desist from any act capable of causing unrest in the state, while wishing them a fruitful celebration.
